…you ever bought? Do you remember?

I can recall the first two I purchased, but weirdly, I'm not sure which actually came first. What complicates the memory is that both were acquired years before I had a CD player, so when I finally got a disc player, I played them both.

So it's either…

Air - Air Lore
(…don't even remember where I picked it up)

Sonny Rollins - Saxophone Colossus
(…bought in Cologne, Germany)

In the Court of the Crimson King.

Back in the day, when I still bought off of iTunes, King Crimson wasn't on there, so I bopped out to Best Buy and picked up a copy.

This is slightly embarassing  but it was Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory.  That was like 10ish years ago, and I am 20 now hahaha.  I wouldn't dare to listen to the crap they put out now...

First CD I ever owned as a kid was Dark Side of the Moon as well (I have awesome parents). I'm not entirely sure, but I think that the first CD(s) I ever actually purchased for myself was The Band's "Across the Great Divide" box set.

Joe Jackson's "Night and Day" - purchased in 1984, before 3 friends and I jointly purchased a Sony CD player. Loved the artist and, at the time, the fact that it was DDD seemed pretty important.

Still love the album to this day.....

I bought my first CDP in 1985 for $300 (Yamaha). I'm not sure but I think my first CD was REM "Murmur" which my GF bought for me...now my wife. "Murmur" was their debut, released on CD in 1983. One other was Dire Straits "Brothers In Arms" which I believe was their first release on CD in 1985.

1985
Dark Side Of The Moon
Bob Marley- Legend
I bought both 6 months before I had a CD player, but I bought one for my girlfriend at the same time as these CD's(spent more time at her house anyway)

Eiffel 65 - Europop

Ok, I was like 8 or 10, but I am still into electronic. I listen to it for nostalgic reasons. I also have another album by Eiffel 65 called "Contact" which cannot be played on computers. I'd love to rip it as it has a couple interesting tracks, but no luck so far.
