I have a senn hd280 pro, who i like very much. I was just wondering as i'm not to familiar when the senn line. What would be the next step up from the 280's. I listen to 70's rock and love the bass. I would like to stay in the senn line up.

Yes I do have a amp (xm5), closed, around 200 bucks, these will be used in my house.

time to venture beyond senns. There are no good full-size closed senns, I'm afraid. Of course, if you can go open, there are some better options in the Senn line.

Around $200 will get you a used HD-600. Arguably, the best can Sennheiser is currently making. They are open and not complete bass monsters, but they're one of the best all-around headphones available.
