What would be a good compliment to a Grado RS1i.

I would like something really different and would like to stay around the $200 mark.

I would like some open and closed headphone choices, if possible.

I listen to mostly rock and classic rock.

These are the cans that I currently own.
Grado RS1i
Grado SR 60i
Audio-Technica ATH A700

From my experience, I found darker or more "bass heavy" cans to make great complements to the Grado's I've owned in the past.

Here are my suggestions,

Closed: CAL! (sound similar to the AH-D1000 and are EASILY moddable), D2000 (if you can find it at or below $250), and DT1350

Open/Semi-open: DT880 and M80

I'd recommend others, but it's always in good taste to only rec. what one has owned/heard.

With the RS1s you may already have THE phone you need. I don't imagine what with your budget you'd really need. If you want I can take your cash and you keep a great rock pair of cans :)

A great compliment to my RS1i that I can't seem to let go are my Sennheiser HD650's. They're very different in presentation, but seem to go well with the rest of my music collection that the RS1i aren't goo with.

sony MDR 1R, UE6000, hd580 are the ones that i can think at the top of my head. or if youre into modding, two pairs of fostex t50rp and mod it to become a compliment of the RS1i

more than 200usd budget: vintage RS1 haha
