I use Arch Linux on my laptop, server, and family iMac, as well as Mac OS X 10.5 on the iMac for syncing my ipod and holding my music collection. On Linux I use pulseaudio so I can easily record podcasts with Skype and have sound going into the recording at the same time. I love Arch because it is bleeding edge, has an excellent package manager (called pacman
) and a wonderful user repository called the AUR (arch User Repository). I also like its BSD style init system, and its ports like build system for building your own packages.
I currently use Mac OS X (10.5.6)
Previously I was in a transition phase between Windows and Mac and used Ubuntu for a couple of months.
Before that though, Windows for years and years.
I currently use both vista home premium and osx 10.5.6. Both have their advantages and disadvantages but I've only recently started using osx so I may need more time to get used to it.
