Pretty much moved on to IEMs for that reason. Because, most of the best closed backs are expensive but they're also not very portable or easy to drive, which, IMO, defeats the purpose. If I'm by my setup I might as well just use an open back. I still use my EMU Ebony at home though for an easier to drive and affordable option.

I’d switch to open-backs entirely if I didn’t live in such a loud environment. Ultimately I prefer the sound of open-backs but it just isn’t practical for me. I don’t have a quiet “studio” to listen to music, although that will continue to be the dream.
