Hi Guys,
 
Two things:
 
1) For these phones do I need a headphone amp? I'll be playing music through my HTC Desire HD mostly in 320kbps.
 
2) If so (or if it will make my listening experience better) can someone recommend a good one to me, not majorly pricey but something well made?

Your Desire HD should power it fine. If you're at all concerned with volume level or clipping occurring, once you hear them (assuming it's not right, it may be fine), then maybe check out the Fiio E11 or the iBasso ZERO. Or on the lower end, Fiio E6.
