When buying headphones I see something that says -
THD, Total harmonic Distortion: <0.5% (1kHz/100dB)
I can understand what the <0.5% means but I have no idea what the things in bracket mean (1kHz/100dB).
Can someone please explain it to me.

At 1kHz frequency at 100dB volume that's the harmonic distortion. Basically, when played loud it will have low distortion at that frequency.
