Oooh that sounds good. The Eastern Front was so fascinating. There has been research that suggests Stalin refused to consider that The Reich would attack after the dreadful lessons of the Napoleonic wars. First book of the semester is Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, which I'm about halfway through already. The other books in the course include Dracula, The Time Machine, and Journey to the Center of the Earth, to name a few.
