Stalin, The Nazis, And The West - Laurence Rees

Oooh that sounds good. The Eastern Front was so fascinating. There has been research that suggests Stalin refused to consider that The Reich would attack after the dreadful lessons of the Napoleonic wars. Some evidence has indicated this because the USSR failed to mobilize troops West despite the German troop buildup and activity, which Hitler excused as practice maneuvers. I have my doubts since Stalin was so famously paranoid.

Taking an awesome english literature / writing requirement course, "Science and Literature"

First book of the semester is Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, which I'm about halfway through already. The other books in the course include Dracula, The Time Machine, and Journey to the Center of the Earth, to name a few.
