I was pondering renting the movie, but after finishing the book I just don't know.
 

The movie is pretty tame compared to the book. It was a decent movie, but I have no intention to watch it again. The book is definitely better.

Read the book before the movie came out and prefer the book....as it is often the case.
And it is a quick read too,mainly because it is quite short and you just need to know what is on the next page!

I did the Audio Book and couldn't wait to get back in the car...
I'd sit in the parking lot at home for 15 mins or more after I got home as there was no way I could leave the story where it was...

But he found APPLES...... and FILTERED WATER...... I just couldn't stop there!

What really fascinated me was the idea that this could happen to me/us,as well.
Civilication is a very fragile construct and can be demolished easily(Syria,Afghanistan etc.)and if that happens we have to rely on ourselves to survive...and can't trust anyone...like in the book!

The Road stands as one of my favorite book of all time, I love the way that the harsh realities are portrayed in the novel.
