Listening to it on my near field speaker rig.

Grabbed this set from HDTracks last week at 24/96. Listening to random tracks right now. The clarity and "punch" in these albums is impressive to my ears.

I forgot I owned this album, but the first track came on while shuffling through my library, and I decided to give the whole thing a listen. The production is pretty good and the music is dramatic, but it's still far from my cup of tea in terms of genre.

I have every conceivable version of these albums and I think this is as good as the vinyl original masters.

I saw The Cars in concert at the Spectrum in Philadelphia right after the first album came out. I think it was 1978 or 1979 or so. but I didn't Google it. The Spectrum was a big arena, but I was in the second row. I've never forgotten that show.
