Brad Mehldau - Apres Faure.png

Brad Mehldau - After Back II.png
Song composed by Johann Sebastian Bach.

Brad offers his interpretations of the Bach compositions.

Darcy James Argue - Secret Society.png

Two new Brad Mehldau albums from last week, and jazz big-band from
Darcy James Argue in 2009.
Edit: The Mehldau is tremendous, especially the Bach which is beautiful.
The Darcy is similar to his other three albums - adventurous and complicated.
Had some lagniappe time, so spun up this new release. Only got a few songs
in, and will need much more time - really awesome. Herr Asal is 24-years old
and a wizard.

Boy ... this brings back a ton of memories from the early-mid 80s, lol. I still have all their albums and like some other folks favour the first ones when DLR was still their front guy. It really hit me when I heard of Eddie's passing four years ago.

Been spinning the next one the second time in 3 days already, something that doesn't happen too often ... just a wonderful live performance by the old maestro and his sidemen.
