Hi there, assuming I'm not plugging into an amp or a particularly powerful source, and want to be able to hear what's around me, what are the current "under $70" big cooshy entry level open headphones? Something like the high end sennheiser's in form factor, but not so expensive.

I would add the semi-open Superlux HD681 Evo to the list ($37.99 amazon). An impressive low end and otherwise remarkably balanced signature for the price point. It is significantly less unpleasantly sibilant than the 668B, which is otherwise also quite good for the money.
