I'm looking for the blackest amp possible with variable bass/treble (is it possible to even have adjustable treble and keep the line clean?).

I absolutely love my amp with my cd3ks in music, but I was watching a film last night and in some of the dialogue I could hear the hiss from the amp - not good.

I know not keeping to as how the recording was intended is considered a cardinal sin by some here, but I really don't care, I eq up the bass and moreso the treble to crispen it out a bit more (to just under unrealistic, but it sounds great and anyway, in films the sounds are accented and unrealistic); I do it because I like it that way, and if an amp/headphone is so good, I can tune it better to my ears that way.

I can't say I know of any (reputable) headphone amps off the top of my head with adjustable bass/treble apart from the ppa2, but does that hiss too?
