Do ou have a budget constraint?

If you look at amps in the similar price range as your headphones of choice, something like the Schiit Asgard, HeadRoom Micro Amp, or something portable like the ALO Rx or Meier offerings would be great with them.

I have the MS400 and it really doesn't need much in the way of extra amping. I use my iBasso D10 when sitting at my computer, but for moving about it is driven purely from my Sansa Fuze.

Only your ears can tell you that.  My ears tell me absolutely, but I'm the only person with those ears.  A large part of this journey means taking risk in finding out just how far your willing to go.  That means money sadly.  HeadRoom however, in an attempt to take that sting away, at least partially and as much as they can, allow you 30 days to try the product for yourself and make a final decision.  If you find its not worth the money, send it back and they'll refund your money.  Part of this is about taking leaps in the dark.  Sometimes you get bit, other times you strike pure gold!

Or get a budget amp off the sale forums here, and if you don't like it you can just resell it.

it was on sale for 129 last i checked. so 29% over budget. budgets can always be stretched.

That would be a better unit, but it blows his budget by 50%.
