Hey guys,
Long store short, I decided that I may not go for a complete re-mold of my Um3x's and I may just go for custom tips. However, I really want to use the new Twag 64" cable I got from whiplash
but my Um3X's are not the removable cable version. So short of finding someone who would be willing to trade + a little cash (!!!!), I would like to attempt re-wiring these myself.
Background, I am a computer engineering student and the soldering iron is no stranger to me, however, I would like to find out what is a good way to determine +/- for each driver on my Um3X's? I would like to make sure I maintain the correct polarity. So is there a way I can do this with a Multimeter?
Your help would be greatly appreciated and in return I would like to make the first step-by-step guide to opening, rewiring, and closing a high-end IEM such as the UM3X's
