I'm looking for a pair of phones that are somewhere in the 100-150 price range. My main purpose is for accurate sound reproduction, while maintaining portability. I've looked into things a bit and theUM1s and the RE0s really stood out. I owned a pair of Klipsch image X10, but, the highs and lows were too harsh for me, so I gave them away. I also owned a pair of UE triple.fi 10 pro which I now regret selling.

I know I won't be able to get into really high end models with such a strict budget, but any other suggestions besides the two I've found are welcome.

Etymotic ER-6i - if you're looking for accurate/analytical/clinical sound reproduction.

Apparently the UM1 has bad extension in both ends of the spectrum. Hence, rolled-off highs and lows.

However the build quality of the UM1 (to me) seems much higher than the RE0.

Thanks for all the replies. I think I'm going to expand my budget to 150-200. But how much difference will 50 dollars make in terms of SQ, I'm honestly not too sure. If any of you can make any more recommendations, it would be greatly appreciated.
