Hi, I made a thread in the Introductions/Help forum and got some great advice on these IEMs, which I am now torn between choosing.

- Westone 3
- TF10
- Audio-technica ATH-CKS1000
- Vsonic GR07 MK2/BE
- TDK BA200

I came to this forum to see if I can get any opinions/discussions on the sound signatures of these IEMs and maybe how these would rank.

Preferred sound isn't something too clinical, but leaning more on the fun and musical side. Also, I need to be able to drive them out of iPhone 5.

Many thanks to anyone who can help compare or describe their experience with these IEMS.

Cheers

If you haven't already checked out joker's list of IEM reviews, definitely check it out

As far as your wants go, the TF10s, GR07s, and BA200s will definitely meet all of your needs. Personally I've owned the GR07s and TF10s (and coincidentally have the BA200s on the way) and both lean on the fun side and are easily driven by portable devices. Some don't like the fit/awkward shape of the TF10s. Others don't like the shape or nozzle on the GR07. However, if you look at the head-fi reviews, they both are quite popular.

Thanks for the reply

Yup I have done much research and read up on their respective sound signatures. I haven't found a direct comparison on how these IEMs stack up against each other though, which is why I posted here.

Honestly I think the TF10 sound signature is best suited for me, but since they are $260, I'm getting a bad deal, considering they used to be $150 on Amazon :frowning2:
So that's why I'm looking into alternatives like the GR07, BA200, and especially the W3.

Good call man, I am a huge TF10 fan. If you don't mind getting used, you can usually find then for under $200!

I can only buy on Amazon since I'm using gift card credits to help fund my purchase.

Best deals I could find are here... http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0019RBJOE/ref=sr_1_1_olp?ie=UTF8&qid=1373779506&sr=8-1&keywords=triple+fi+10&condition=used

None of the offers seem particularly attractive

If you could go further up I'd be all over these
http://www.amazon.com/Westone-WST-WESTONE4-W4/dp/B004M4RTUY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1373810630&sr=8-2&keywords=westone+3
I have only heard the westone 2 but the 2's were very close to the tf10 in terms of sound quality.

otherwise i dont think a used tf10 is a good idea they are already notoriously flimsy. If you do buy them make sure they are under full warranty. mine broke within the 1 year and they replaced it with the ue900.

never listened to the gr07 be but ive only heard good things

I'd feel too bad about going up to $320. Going to $260 has me already feeling guilty

Replaced with a UE900? What luck!

Gotcha. Sounds like its gonna be hit or miss! Have you priced the TDKs?

They're $122 on Amazon right now. Great deal, but not really sure how their sound would compare against the TF10 or W3.

I have just listed a pair of t-Peos h100 for sale for $90. I have never heard the tf10, but i have read they have similar sound but the h100 have better build quality. If im wrong about them having similar sound please correct me as i dont want to lead someone astray.
