Whilst I haven't heard the westone 1 I have heard both the 215 and the westone 2, which has a very similar shape to the 1's.  Hand's down comfort go to the westones for me.  Light, well isolating, great lightweight cable.  By comparison the shures to me felt awkward with a stupidly long cable and even more stupidly swivel connectors.  Didn't like them at all.
