I think I have to search for a used amp in the sale section.... I find it impossible to find a headphone tube amp in EU. I hope there's someone within EU who owns a decent tube amp....
 
 
EDIT: The only amp I've found is the Icon Audio HP8.... I haven't heard anything about it here on the forum...

I do think Pacific Valve is a USA distributor only.  I do think you will find quite a few EU-located used tube amps in the FS sections here, though.  Best of luck!

I need to ask about an amp I've found... Thought I would ask here before making a new thread... If nobody is answering I will post a new thread.
 
The amp Icon Audio HP8 (or MP 3, if there are any difference)... First of all, has anyone heard it/of it ? I would like to know more about it... It looks like an well built product and it's made in Europe, so I don't have to worry about import duties.... Good price etc.. But that doesn't tell anything about the sound.... I like the"Ming Da MC 84C07" that some here like, but can't find it inside EU... But I've found out that Icon Audio and Ming Da uses the same facility and share technology with each other... So could Icon audio MP8  share some greatness with the Ming Da MC 84C07 ?

 
If there are anyone here that know about this amp, you maybe can tell me the difference between the Icon audio MP8 and MP3 (not the format)... As I've understand it, it's just a smaller version, but it costs 40£ more

Maybe try a little EQ.   I also wonder why you are set on buying an amp at a certain price range hoping that it is an upgrade?   The upgrade is in weather the sound is better ie. tailored to your system/preference than your current set up.  The Ming Da is a kick ass amp and yes, its on the warm side.  The fact that it costs the same or less than your current set up has little to do with how it fits with your system.   You could always get it and gold plate it and put little jewels on it or something.

They are maybe not made in Europe, but Icon Audio is UK based... Nevertheless the point is that I can buy it in EU. I've found it on this site:http://www.audioaffair.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=1402....

You haven't read the former posts in this thread... (I wouldn't either

) I've changed my mind a bit... My budget is not around 700$ anymore it's up to 700$, it can be cheaper.... I think Ming Da looks like a good amp, but as I've also posted earlier, I don't want to pay import duties (I live in Sweden, about 45% duties of the price), so I have to find an amp I can buy within EU (don't have to pay import duties...).
 
 
Will start a new thread asking about the Icon Audio amp.... It sounds great, plus I've read on their site that you can ask them to upgrade the amp with better tubes and capacitors...

I'm also one for trying a little EQ. You may be exaggerating a bit, but it sounds like it's almost painful for you to use that amp. I would say, in the mean time, give in to a little EQ to help take the edge off and buy you some time until a deal comes your way.
 
Otherwise, I have heard that the WooAudio 2 is pretty tubey sounding. I know its a bit out of your range, but if you can find a used one.

A thought occurred to me: you might want to get the Audiotailor Jade OTL tube amp from AmpCity. Since AmpCity is a UK-based store, I figure that you won't have to pay customs duties to ship it to Sweden. And the Jade appears to be very much like the ASL MG Head. And it's not too expensive.

It's not clear to me exactly what the topology is. But plugging into one of the two headphone jacks appears to offer a plate-follower design just like the MG Head. So that's local feedback only, which is good for the tube sound.
