Is this normal?

I am using Nokia N82 to power it. I know it probably can't drive this now 102ohm (previously 27ohm) IEM. But shouldn't the difference  only be 6dB (ie 10*log(102/27))???

Does 6dB really make such a big difference?

Does volume correspond to the power output of my phone. My phone expresses its volume in percentage with 100% the highest.

Suppose I use 100% as reference decibel level, then 90% is -0.46dB, 80% is -0.97dB, 70%, is -1.55dB, 30% is -5.23dB, 20% is -7dB and so on. Is that right??

Does that also mean with the 75ohm adapter, the volume at 100% will be roughtly the same as volume at 25%??

I dont get why you divide 102 over 27.
6db should cut the volume by half.
