Violectric V222 and V202

Thank you, the V340 and above are out of my budget so can't do that lol. I have the bifrost 2/64 already and it sounds like its a good pairing with the HE1000V2/V222 so I'm set on that as well. Hope your Modius stack works out well for you though!

Would I be able to stack the v222 & bifrost 2/64 or I can only put them side by side?
I saw someone post a pic of them stacking the bifrost sideways on the V222 and it fit...but then you'd have a bunch of cables jutting out the side. It's one drawback of the longer form factor.

I have an XLR switcher and volume control for my monitors stacked on top of the Bifrost and V222. Doesn’t look great but it works

I picked up a Bifrost 2/64 from Schiit's B-stock. Gotta say, as others stated here, that it is a very nice match with the Violectric.
It will stack evenly on a V222 if you don't mind a 90 degree turn  This is only temporary until I rearrange gear on my desktop.

saw that too, I feel like It would bother me the whole time haha

Lake People DAC RS 06, v800 and V850 might be the only dacs to stack perfectly. It is a good thing that those are excellent dacs.

Yeah, that was my picture when I first acquired the BF2 and was testing it with the V222. The lengths do match but the 90 degree turn is not ideal. It could only maybe work if your stack was to your left or right and you don't mind cables to one side. I don't have enough desktop space and still trying to figure a better arrangement.

You could also try one of these keyboard risers online, they are really cheap and they help give the Vio some breathing room. It's adjustable too. This is my bedside set up and its non intrusive, they may also make smaller ones. I was planning on popping the BF2/64 in the middle with the second riser but then I got the Yggdrasil and that giant beast stays hidden below.

Does the V222 innately lack a wide or deep enough airy soundstage as suggested in some posts or is the question of soundstage size source- and/or chain-dependent. I am also counting on using the BiFrost 2/64 connected to the V222 in balanced mode, and all my hps connect to my amps in balanced mode.

Hi guys,

I would like to ask you for advice, especially those who currently use the following equipment: I own an RME ADI-2 DAC (ESS) that drives an Audeze LCD-X 2021 and I am quite satisfied, the headphone amplifier of the ADI-2 is very neutral but sometimes I would like to get a slightly warmer and richer sound that I can't achieve simply with the EQ so sometimes I feel it is not very engaging.

Sometimes I would like a wider headstage, with a greater impact on the lows and warmer, but not too much to veil the highs of my LCD-X but which nevertheless manages to tame a bit that peak at 10,800khz which is sometimes a little intrusive and I have to correct it with EQ.

I was evaluating the Violetric V220 so as to also have a balanced output available but I read too many conflicting opinions on it, some say that it has too much high roll that takes away air and some say that it is brilliant.

Is there anyone using an RME ADI-2 DAC as a source with their LCD-X who has made the switch to the Violetric V220 and can confirm what the improvements have been and whether the purchase is worth the expense?
I quote my message since I didn't receive any response

having to connect the cayin n7 to the V222 via a balanced cable with a 4.4 jack towards the XRL inputs of the V222 which cable do you suggest?
You might want to ask if this is okay from Violectric, I would go 4.4mm to 2x RCA to be safe. It is probably ok tough to use XLR. Just google it and pick the best, cable length is small, so basically any working cable should do just fine.

No, it does not. I did not hear any loss in soundstage when I compared mine to Singxer SA-1 which I found better than A90 that I had before. Bifrost should be a perfect combo with this amp.

I compared V222 to my RME-adi-2fs when I had it: RME was sharper, and slightly thin sounding, a bit more intimate in comparison.
BUT: In fast A/B it was hard to tell a difference, I only heard those differences in longer listening sessions.
RME is a great amp/dac combo, but as a now Vio-Fan i do suggest trying the V220 and maybe consider purchasing Lake People DAC RS 06/V800 to go with it.

Hart makes a short interconnect in this configuration. I bought one to use between my RU7 and an amp but now I have the V226 and a different DAC so it sits unused.

I recently paired R2RDAC(pontus ii) with V202.

I got the impression that the sound field was too wide, in a way that I am not good at.

I would like to hear what other owners have to say about the sound field.
One month has passed since the combination of pontus ii and V202.

My brain has become accustomed to the wide soundstage and it is difficult to go back to the old environment.:innocent:
I use meze109 for the basics, great combo.

I used to have a V590pro, now I am wondering if I should move to V550's notPRO.

I’m lucky coz Cayin N8 mk1 had a few cables included.
You are correct 4.4 to xlr (balance)
If SE then should be 3.5 to RCA, i bought 1 from QED to try the tube on N8
I saw IFI also has a 4.4 to xlr cable
