Hi,

I have Sextettes which have 600Ohm indepencence max 200mW. Is something like Asus Xonar Essence STU amp/dac
which has 80mW @ 600ohm enough for cans like these ?

It should be no problem for the Essence STU to drive the AKG K240 600-Ohm headphones.
My Essence STX uses the same TI6120A2 head amp chip as the Essence STU and has no problem driving my AKG K240 Monitor 600-Ohm headphones.

But skip the Essence STU and get the Audio-GD NFB-15.32 external DAC/amp, $255+shipping.

Dual DAC chips and a more powerful headphone amplifier.
I've been using the 15.32 for three weeks, it's taking over from my Essence STX.

Seems that they are as the page states that has drivers for W8.

I cannot get them directly from their homepage so I have to use reseller and was looking at polish reseller stock. They only have nfb-11.32 (with sabre ES9018 chip) and nfb-5.32 (dual WM8741 chips). Which one should I pick and why ?
