Here is 2 of them. Both do asynch 24/192.

  O.K. Then. Don't ditch the CEC. Still buy a RME though.
 
The job you want doing is a bit strange but the RME does it  and compared to what you already spent on the CEC it is a massive bargain.
 
If you want to connect to a desktop PC then a PCIe card is another potential solution. Look at the RME HDSPe RayDat (~ $600) or the E-MU 0404 (PCI version) (~$100).
 
If you are using a laptop though it's going to be a bit tricky as portable and AES/EBU are not something most manufacturers see a market for.
