So many complain about having too little battery life, so I decided to post a thread about usb battery packs. Some players such as the Sandisk Clip+, Fuze, and Clip Zip will play while charging with a usb battery pack.

For versatility, I like the $20  Tekkeon mp1580. It uses 4 nimh AA batteries(not included), so one can carry extra sets.
A more compact lighter choice that holds more power is the $30 Veho Pebble XT. It has a built in Lion battery that holds 5,000 mah. There are many other usb battery packs, however the others are typically much larger or more expensive. There are even smaller usb battery packs than the Pebble XT, however they hold much less power. The Duracell Instant Power for example holds 1150 mah, so it holds less than 1/4 of the power of the Veho Pebble, while being half its size.

I have been looking on Amazon and although there are many option out there, your  Veho Pebble seems cool, especially that you can recharge them while playing with!!

There are  usb battery packs that will charge two devices at a time, however they are much larger than the Veho Pebble, and also more expensive. There are also usb battery packs that put out higher amperage to charge an ipad or notebook computer. Those are much larger, heavier, and much more expensive than the Pebble XT.I think most people don't need a charger that charges two devices simultaneously, and since these are larger and more expensive than the Pebble XT for the same power capacity, I
don't find them to be interesting.

While this holds 20% more power than the Veho Pebble XT, it is also 72% larger(7.39 cubic inches vs 4.29 cubic inches) and 29% heavier(5.93 ounces vs 4.6 ounces). Who makes this? Have you seen any reviews of it? The Veho Pebble is very popular, and there are many reviews of it on the net.

Not sure but I can give it a quick review/run down when it arrives if you want?
Does the pebble have full size USB?

I have two USB battery packs for traelling. Both 6600mAh. I do not care how big they are as I need power for my tablet and my phone and DAP. When I travel for 24-48 hours it is more important to have the power than save a few ounces.

I have two of the HyperMac Minis.  They are not inexpensive but with 2 X 7200mah + internal iPad battery, they give me nearly 30 hours of juice for non stop video and tunes.  They are well made and with two years worth of use, they still hold most of their original charge.
