I ordered the FiiO cable for my Shure SE425, will post impressions as soon I get them.

I have this cable for my SR535's.  Nice quality, and a bit more flexible than the Shure OTB cable.  Also, I found the over the ear part to be more comfortable.  As for changes/improvements in the sound quality...not to my ears.

Have to agree, although I didn't switched back to old cable to A/B the difference in SQ, so I'm not sure.
Still, I prefer the FiiO cable over the stock.

Much easier to un-tingle and looks better.
Same microphonics though

I know everyone hears differently, and that this whole cable upgrade to improve SQ is a touchy subject, but I A/B'd the Fiio and Shure OTB cables...couldn't hear any difference at all.  I am a believer in the notion that if you spend $200 on a cable, you WILL hear an improvement.

The prices are all over the map from about $30 (Fiio silver plated copper for Shure SE535) to $250 to $300 (silver).  If you look around you will easily find copper headphone cable at $100+.  Crazy.  If you want some serious amusement, check out the prices on the custom made LOD cables.
