I thought that too, but i could not find the drivers neither in Knowles, nor in Sonions lineup.

Do you have more information about them?

If it is a patent design or proprietary design, you won’t find them on the line-up. Knowles or Sonion are just manufacuter of those, they can’t openly advertise them.

I assumed that, but how do you know, that Knowles is making these?

I personally don’t know. But Knowless and Sonion are the main manufacturers, so there’s a big chance of being one of them.

That is true, but Sony holds the patent for this BA design.

So either Knowles/Sonion are making them under license, or Sony is making them.

Neither Knowles nor Sonion see Sony as competitor as they 1. Dont make any Hearing Aids (which is the main income for the other to) 2. Have no interest in selling their BAs so it could be that they are just made under license.

But probably nobody will ever reveal this secret to the public.

But the Treble of the 18+ looks no where close to the IER-M9. Which doesn't have to mean anything, just because its the same BA, the frequency response still can be totally different.

Hello, folks!
Does anybody know the best possible cable for UE18+ Pro?..

Just tried PWaudio 1960s 4wire in comparison to my custom cable (wich is damn good in comparison to stock one) and was blown away by 1960s... It's awesome, nothing to say..

But this great PWaudio cable can be produced in 0.78mm 2pin variant or in MMCX..

Maybe somebody here can suggest any solution?

I just got the UE IPX balanced cable for mine and they are amazingly clean. Expensive though.

Update: at $250, not expensive when compared to some of the cables you guys are enticing me with. Do I need $1000 cables?

Just a warning to people looking to purchase these on the second hand market. There's a large uptick in these being resold as "universals". If there isn't printed letters on the inside that say UE18, these weren't universals so there's no way to know what's actually inside the shells. Could be a $5 earphone in a copy cat shell. Also UE won't service them if you ever need a repair.
