even better than the fiio replacement cables are the custom UE cable for $30 right now at ultimateears.com (logitech).  they're the same cables that they use for their really expensive custom in ears.

Do these work with non-custom TF10?

I probably would have picked up one of these months ago but I thought they didn't work with the regular stock TF10.

They work, but you have to cram them in there. Once you use these cables, if you go back to the stock cable, it'll fit very loose since the custom cable has thicker pins.

My TF10 combined with my Cowon S9 have won me over. They pair up really well together, however I need to EQ them like crazy for my style of sound. Once EQ'd though they really come to life with my S9. The bass stays really solid.

I DIY'd my cable for $6....
I used 4N OFC wire and neutrik 3.5mm connector.
Just saying'

BTW does it matter which way I plug them in as long as both sides are the same?

Yes, they will sound different if connected in reverse polarity, the mids will move forward but you will lose some soundstage, to me it sounds like the passive crossover maybe no longer functions ???

Hey guys, long time since I've been to this forum!

Been using my TF10s for many months now and I'm really satisfied.

Just wondering, at what volume do you guys listen to your TF10s? For example, I usually listen to them at 55% volume (11/20) on my android phone. Is this too loud? When I first bought them I listened at 45% volume but I gradually went up to 55% during these months. It's just so easy to turn the volume up with these headphones, they still remain crystal clear even when loud. So is 55% volume on an android phone too loud considering I use these headphones on a daily basis for atleast an hour or two a day.

Thanks!

What phone is it? Different phones have different amps and therefore different volume levels at whatever volume percentages..
