I'm using the 'Normal' EQ - I quite like colour it adds - The standard 'User' is too flat for me

I think they naturally recess the sound, I don't think the details are lost, treble is decreased slightly, but you'll only notice it majorly if you have 1 piece in with the Comply and the other with a silicone tip - I like the idea of just sliding IEM's in with standard tips but I just cannot get a good seal/insert with anything but the Comply tips - Bit of a bummer really, gets a bit tedious squeezing the tips each time to put them in

Ha ha, true. Squeeze the tip, insert, adjust and hold for a few seconds for it to expand and settle, Now repeat for the other ear.

Are you using the new Comply Ts400s?  They're not supposed to reduce HF.  Shure Olives fit, if you modify the tube, but it's a pain.

Anyone else feel like the comply tips affects the sound? Personally I feel like a little bit of detail is lost, but maybe that's just me...

Which is a pity cause they were so comfortable...

Has anyone tried shure foam tips with these?

Hey guys,

Quick question for you guys before I post a thread about it. I really love the Triple.Fis but I'm not a huge fan of the cable (wouldn't say that I hate it, but it could be better), so I was looking to replace them. However, I can't justify spending >$100 on a Null Audio cable considering I paid less for the IEMs themselves.

I was looking to keep my budget at less than $50 and looked for aftermarket cables on eBay. I was wondering if any of you guys have used any of these cables and if so what your thoughts were:

1. Jaben ES8 (can get 2 for $48, but I heard that the construction and weave were only ok)
2. The "Crystal" Cable (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Crystal-Upgrade-Cable-Ultimate-ears-/270593811024?pt=Other_MP3_Player_Accessories&hash=item3f00a5e250#ht_1062wt_956)
3. This one (http://www.ebay.com/itm/FURUTECH-Ultimate-Ears-upgrade-cable-UE-triple-fi-10-/220904687152?pt=Other_MP3_Player_Accessories&hash=item336ef20630#ht_2742wt_1189)

I also know about the Westone cable adjustment, but I'm a bit wary of cutting off a bit of the connector.

Thanks!

Guys I have to say, I finally got them. I think I'm in love, haven't been this happy with audio since I got the IE8s or maybe even way back when I first got into high end with my Shure E4gs. I give no cares that I payed more than most of you who lucked out on the sale. For $170 shipping included I couldn't be happier. Look for a comparison with the IE8s soon :)

Well, I used them all day today without any discomfort because I went for deeper insertion. I didn't think sticking those things further into my ears would result in better comfort, but I guess that helped the 'phones better line up with the curve of my ear canal or something.

Some of you mentioned how good these are with electronic music, and boy you weren't lying. I listened to some house today and it was almost like it was made with the TF10 in mind.

Still having trouble keeping a seal in my left ear though, will have to mess around a bit more I suppose.

I was surprised at what it did for some of my other music next to my IE8's. Wasn't expecting what I was about to hear. They are so, so, so worth the money. Electronic music is wonderful. I'd say the IE8's are close but the TF10s really bring out the hidden details with their awesome treble. Treble in general is much better than the IE8 in my opinion. It just sounds so much cleaner!
