In case some of the UK students here haven't heard about this, Microsoft is doing a big slice offer for Windows 7 which comes out in the next day or so.

32bit Home
64bit Home
32bit Pro
64bit Pro

£30 for any of them so long as you've got a valid .ac.uk email addy.

I'll finally be able to move on from XP x64 and its long list of foibles. Joy.

I already placed my order awhile back but if I want a full version I might use that!

yes, indeed. to my understanding, it should be in the retail box and everything

its actually 30, plus 5 bucks shipping...plus local tax

When I got mac office (using an extremely similar promotion) the thing didn't come in the full retail packaging, just a disk in a sleeve. BUT, unless you are planning some black-market re-sale, that shouldn't be an issue..

Yeah I don't think the disks will come in full retail. My Office 2007 Enterprise that I got through my university's software sales came in a crappy sleeve with the license sticker on it. It doesn't matter, though. I prefer it this way so I can keep all my software together in a smaller space!
