I'm interested in making some DIY interconnects, and potentially a recable of my headphones in future. I've tried searching for places in the UK to buy cable parts (including terminations, heatshrink wrap) and I've struggled to find a decent source. Any help will be greatly appreciated from.

Off topic: Can you use heatshrink wrap without an heat gun/heatshrink oven? I know it sounds silly but will a hairdryer do the trick? Just trying to keep the budget down.

Thanks!

Response to the Off Topic bit:

I don't have a heat gun/oven, but I find that hairdryers aren't nearly hot enough to do it well.
I just use the open flame on my gas stove. (And some oven mitts).
I haven't lit anything on fire yet!

Had a look at that.. They seem to do only silver cables. Any SPC sellers? Also where do you guys get the terminations from? Thanks.
