Just curious if anyone had any sub-$50 tube suggestions for the Lyr 2 + HE-560. Looking for something that will improve the basssss.
 
Or would $50 be too little to get any real improvement.

You might want to try stopping by Schiit Lyr Tube Rollers Thread http://www.head-fi.org/t/673709/schiit-lyr-tube-rollers for detailed information.   I am not exactly sure what you are looking for, but these Amperex tubes are in your price range. They have a slightly warmer presentation and there should be a little more bloom in the bass region compared to the stock tubes. Just wondering if you ever found some information in your quest? I recently picked up a pair of HE-560s, and am looking for new tubes to pair them with on the Lyr 2. I have the same issue - need some bass, and would like some more tubey goodness
 
I have Amperex Orange Globes, and while beautiful, the low end isn't terrible present.
