A lot of people were asking about remote control on SMSL SU-1, I personally don't need the remote but I think this would be a good alternative.
Just what I was thinking. Will be interesting to hear people compare these, though I doubt there will be much if any difference. Good to see budget audio getting better and these companies pushing each other to create better and more affordable gear.

I got the knack for AKM chips and I saw this on prime day.

I can post some first impressions soon.
My prime packages arrived yesterday.

The E30 II lite is a little bit smaller then the Topping D10s that I already own. It comes with a remote without batteries and no RCA cables, only with a USB to 5V power cable and a usb type B connector cable for data.

The device is seemingly in standby when not the input is disconnected or shut down. As soon as I connected the data cable to my PC it started. Noticeable it selected optical as first input but remembered my selection after that. I put the E30 II in my chain before my tube preamp and the solid state amp.

The sound reminds me of typical Topping products. Fully clean and transparent just like the D10s is. The little difference is that this device uses an AKM chip and therefore produces the typical AKM smooth sounding presentation. I feel like the soundstage is a little smaller then the D10s soundstage but it is still wide enough.

Detail retrieval and resolution are really good. Just like the D10s but smoother thanks to the AKM chip. Then I compared it to my FiiO Q3 that I use as a desktop DAC. My setup is PC - DAC - Xduoo MT-602 preamp - Sabaj A10h amp. The FiiO Q3 has a noticeable better soundstage, cleaner and more defined treble and higher resolution then the E30. The E30 sounded more smooth. I am however biased in favor for ther Q3 since I love the combo of AKM chip + THX amp. To my ears this combo sounds sooo much more revealing then any Topping DAC and every USB DAC i used so far. That's how the Q3 became my official desktop DAC, cause this device is a monster if you feed it into a preamp and then an amp.

If you like the regular combo of DAC + Amp then I can fully recommend this device. Fully clean and transparent sound with AKM smoothness. I did not have any use for this device sind I already use my leftover D10s for my gaming setup on another PC and the Q3 on my audiophile PC. I sent it back to amazon on the same day.
