If I were to buy any IEM, does all tips work with it? Is there a particular tip I need to buy for that IEM?

Are tips standard? I mean if I were to buy a random tip, can I be sure that they will fit on my earphone?

Nope. Shure and Westone have smaller stem compared to those from UE, Sennheiser, Heir, etc. For example, Westone startips silicone tips will fit into Shure Se215 but not into UE900 or Heir 4.ai

What do you guys do when buying tips? Wouldn't it be difficult to locate and buy individual tips?

What's so difficult?
For example, if I were to own a Shure IEM, I will only look for Shure-compatible tips in any earphone stores, Amazon, eBay, etc.
There's always google and the search function in this forum if everything else fails
