Did you ever get checked out by a dentist? If it is Bruxism (grinding your teeth while you sleep) then a mouth guard at night should alleviate the symptom (tinnitus). As others have said Tinnitus isn’t always related to hearing loss. Even a cheap over the counter $20 night guard should help until you can get into see the dentist. Assuming Bruxism or TMJ is the issue of course, which is why it’s important to confirm with a medical professional, ENT, Dentist, oral surgeon etc.
Yeah I just got a new night guard after replacing my old one made 10 years ago~ thanks for the advice

This problem also bothers me. But it occurs to me after I start to pinch my cervical vertebrae. I try very hard to get rid of a variety of joint pains. I used to use various pills, as well as I tried using various ointments and creams to relieve this pain and inflammation. But it did not always help me. But one day I was advised to buy cbd gummies in Canada which help with the pain and anxiety. I resisted for a long time and ignored it. But one day, these pains plagued me so much that I decided to give them a try. I was pleasantly surprised when the pain went away the first time. Now they are always with me.
Did the gummies impact your tinnitus?

I've had (thankfully quite mild) tinnitus emerge a while back. Got checked out by my GP and he referred me to a specialist, who has now told me absolutely no IEMs. I had pretty much cut out using my IEMs already, but I guess this makes it official.

Another interesting tidbit she shared: rates of tinnitus have skyrocketed over the last 3 years - apparently one of Covid's many party tricks is a fondness for attacking nerve tissue of all kinds, including auditory nerves.

From what I have read, basically Lenire doesn't seem to be extremely effective. I say this carefully and of course people should do their own research, and perhaps it could be effective for some people. But ... for whatever its worth I have tinnitus and don't have much interest in this device. However I think the work of a scientist named Susan Shore at the U of Michigan and a device she has been working on is very promising. A device based on this work may be released in the next couple of years.
Any update here?

Any update here?
It's a good question. Every few weeks/months I take a look here and check:

https://www.tinnitustalk.com/threads/new-university-of-michigan-tinnitus-discovery-—-signal-timing.2805/page-208#post-710336

Looks like there was just a webinar with Dr. Shore, which may be watchable?

I try not to spend much time at all on that site (tinnitustalk... overall it's a downer I think) or get excited about any updates. It's taking forever. But I do think this device is the best bet right now if ever released.

Looks dormant IMO. may have to try Lenire. Has anyone here use it?
If you read the threads on Lenire there, it seems to be a sham. I hate to say it and obviously look into it yourself. But it's not regarded seriously on tinnitustalk from what I can tell.

Who knows, but I don't think the Michigan device is dormant. Just real slow. But it may be something good if ever released. Apparently there is some sort of process going on that should lead to approval and manufacture and sale. Hopefully. Also FWIW if you look at the TT site there are plenty of threads about different types of research etc... but I personally don't read any of it, and feel like I'll just see what happens with this device.

CBD has helped me to some degree. I've had tinnitus for a long time but have learned to ignore it (unless it gets really loud). I developed another issue in one ear that involved different symptoms. One of which was a loud ringing. Could technically be tinnitus I guess but this was different and at a different level. I tried CBD for something completely different and it didn't help in that regard but it stopped the loud ringing in my left ear. I still have other issues with that ear but not the ringing as long as I use the CBD. I have noticed that it didn't completely stop the long standing tinnitus that I had gotten used to but has lessened the severity. I should mention that I do not use THC but the CBD that I am using is a 10:1 (CBD:THC) sublingual product. So I believe that means that it does have a higher amount of THC than "pure" CBD does. I don't use much and I don't feel any of the THC's psychoactive effects. But I assume that it's possible that it could be the THC that has helped as well.
