Hey guys, I recently acquired a pair of AKG K167s and am not liking them so far. It has fairly weak bass and mid-bass so without any eq-ing most of the songs I listen to sound lifeless and dull. They are very clear and have fantastic highs, but that coupled with the recessed lows and low-mids make them a bit too harsh on my ears.

So, I'm thinking of returning these and buying a pair of pro700MK2s instead. If I understand correctly the pro700 is basically an ATH-M50 with more bass and an a detachable cable. Most reviews mention it as having a clamp too tight but I have a narrow head so that wouldn't be a problem. I listen to a lot of electronic and indie rock music, but what I've found out is that I enjoy a moderately bass heavy sound signature.

What do you guys think? would they be a good choice for me? are they worth the premium over the M50s?
