New vid from Jay Audio comparing MMK3 and Prestige LTD (I have no idea if he has a head-fi account lol)
MMK3 made its way to two categories on his IEM upgrade guide as well (gaming and all-rounder) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XQtSH90BGK99Vij3dXcSylfwcut5XerPbkkEksFwATA/edit#gid=0
The MKIII frequency response graphs suggest that ThieAudio dipped the mid base between 100 Hz to 300 Hz by around 1 dB too much, with the center of this dip being at 200 Hz. At least this is easily fixed by using parametric EQ.I've tried Monarch MKIII.... everything is perfect, but only lack of mid bass for my taste, the sub bass is very good
Compared to the Monarch II the Monarch III mid bass sounds quite prominent and is much more engagingThe MKIII frequency response graphs suggest that ThieAudio dipped the mid base between 100 Hz to 300 Hz by around 1 dB too much, with the center of this dip being at 200 Hz. Yep, I "fixed" it with Mojo 2's 4 band EQ/tone control. The MKIII frequency response graphs suggest that ThieAudio dipped the mid base between 100 Hz to 300 Hz by around 1 dB too much, with the center of this dip being at 200 Hz. At least this is easily fixed by using parametric EQ.
1db in the red marble? (first band?)Yep, I "fixed" it with Mojo 2's 4 band EQ/tone control.
Its not as simple as that unfortunately. What I did was cut a couple of dB on the red (20Hz) and boosted a couple of dB on the orange (125Hz shelf) That works for me.1db in the red marble? (first band?)
can you please tell me the final result in marble colors? eheheh, i will try it myselfIts not as simple as that unfortunately. What I did was cut a couple of dB on the red (20Hz) and boosted a couple of dB on the orange (125Hz shelf) That works for me.
I remember seeing a lot more custom colors available when they were taking initial preorders. Does anyone know if that is coming back?
