that was a 'tamed' version, the old shape was the wild-one... had a few races round the M25 against one of those, man I miss those early Sunday morning sessions, we should hang, drawn & quarter, then burn the bastad who invented speed-cameras (olde English methods were the best)

>walks out thread pining for his old Calibra-Turbo Coupe 4x4 & original Saab Turbo

Truth be known, I don't think I would like the E32, too much of a go cart for my tastes.

The E36 had just the right balance of sport and luxury that I wanted. Subsequent M's leaned more to the luxury side....  although I think the limited M1 gets back to the essentials.

But I walk now, as walking in China is the best mode of transportation.

yeah it was a wild car, it has legendary status over here.

ever thought of getting some of those M-Rollerskates... they're meant to be great at acceleration though I've heard cornering can be a bit iffy.

I think you guys are talking about the E30. Awesome car and my good friend has a turbo'd one (non-M3) which puts out ~ 450-500 hp. Pretty unsuspicious with stock 14's on it lol. I also have an E36 with M-suspension that will get a turbo soon. I have to agree that the E36 is a better blend of luxury and performance.

I have an E34 as well, but might get rid of it for an E39 M5. THAT is a true stock sleeper if you ask me. Understated looks, 5.0l V8 400 hp from ten years ago, and they can hold their own on the track too. Wiz, if you really do like sleepers, I think I've got one of the ultimates... I've got an oldschool Audi rocket couch with huge turbo on it, kind like the old group B engines but with more output and dry sump. Goal for this season is 850 all wheel hp and 11k RPM. Glad to see the Wizard can appreciate cars as well!

Back on topic, I'm looking forward to seeing what Heir has to offer in the coming months :)

Could there be a fit issue unrelated to seal? All the comments I've read about the 4.a are clear treble and wonderful low-level resolution. My day old pair lack treble, bottom, and texture. I have what I think is a good seal (can't hear anything on the bus or train, no wiggle in the ear) and have adjusted the ear flap per earlier posts. The headphones I use every day are the Denon ADH-2000 which, according to reviews and what I've read around here are outclassed by the 4.a. Any ideas?

if you could get over to  the 4.Ai thread with some impressions and pictures thatd be great, glad your enjoying them and personally i fund the 009 a lot better, however what could have been the case is that you were in a noisy environment as the Stax dont like this.

When I listened to the HD-800 with my HM-801 and then went over and listened in a seperate room to the SR-009 and I thought nothing could beat the detail I was getting out of the HD-800 .. but the SR-009 had all the detail plus a lot of vibrance and body across the spectrum. Honestly the 4.Ai doesn't the detailed resolution of either the HD-800 or the vibrance in detail of the SR-009 but it feels like the SR-009 ... When I listened to the SR-009 the detail was all over the spectrum . the 4.Ai has that same personality and makes and excellent attempt.. it reminds me of the SR-009 more then the HD-800... I might have got over excited by saying it's as good or better.. but honestly with the ear buds the magnus 1 cable and the HM-801.. it's only a tiny bit off that SR-009 ... the 4.Ai is now the first IEM that I can actually easily notice the difference between mp3 quality levels and a huge difference compared to Flac.

Hmmm.. i'll try to post some pictures soon... :)
