I have a National Union 6F8G and an NU 6C8G, and they sound identical to me even though they have different amplification factors (20 vs 36). Do any of you hear a difference between the 6F8G and the 6C8G? I'm curious because I also have a TS 6C8G, which I really like, and was wondering if it's worth looking for a (much more expensive) TS 6F8G.

If the tube is identical to this picture it is a BRIMAR.

I have a tube in my hand that looks identical. On the socket it is branded S.T.C. 101 (Standard Telephone and Cables, British subsidiary of ITT) that also started Brimar). On the socket is also has that up arrow followed by 6J5G. N. with CV1067 below. On the glass it says 6J5G.
Remember, I only said it looks identical.
