Can you share the picture of it Kiat so that I know how to talk to my local modder.
Thanks
I can do one better - let me share the link to the page where I got the balance ready T1 (pictures there):

Hope that helps!
$1,688
. I paid around $ 100 to install mini XLR's on mine, I didn't mod the Beyer cable as I already have 2 balanced cables (Toxic & DHC) but if I had that would have cost approx another $ 100.

Great, thanks!
Does anybody know how the T1's + complimenting amp, compares to the Fostex HP-A8 + TH600
Also any reasonably priced amps that can be easily obtained in the UK
I am using a Linn Majik, one of the older ones and it is wonderful.

So it has been almost 2 weeks since I bought my T1, and to this date I still find myself constantly adjusting its position on my head. Somehow to me, I can't get a 'perfect-fit' the way I do with HD800. Am I the only one here having problem with the T1's comfort?

did you buy it new? I just ordered new pads for mine cause it certainly feels like they've compressed a bit making it a touch uncomfortable at times which it never used to be...

I did have some problem with T1, since I'm wearing glasses and the legs kinda poke into the headphone cup
But after some trying. I finally find a good spot wearing T1 and glasses at the same time.
On the other hand, for me HD800 is harder to find a good spot since its cup is much larger, so it's harder to find a good reference spot from time to time. Maybe my head is smaller?

Bought it 2nd-hand, supposed to be 2.5 months old on purchase

Sometimes the HD800's size do bother me, but after finding the 'right' headband length for me, the comfort astounds me. Personally I like the T1's pads, but the fact that I have to adjust the headband every single time I want to use it does annoy me..

Interesting... I always thought I was the only one with that problem... got mine as used, too. Might just be a minor flaw in the mechanics as the T5p sometimes did the same thing...

Mine only occasionally required adjustment when I first got them but after repeated use I also find that I have to adjust them every time I wear them. I never considered it a big deal but my HD800's do maintain their setting and fit properly every time without further adjustment. I also found the clamping force on the T1's reduced considerable over time but I generally considered that a plus.

my wish for the T1/T5p is they had a small set screw for locking the band position. the indents for this adjustment are way to loose.

Exactly..they are much too loose on the byer phones! i think the ball lock mekanisme on Audeze phones are very good, and a system that works very well.

No problems here with having to adjust the position on my head, or the height of the pads in the band.
Close to three years of daily usage, with same pads.
My beyerdynamic T1 is built to last. German quality ftw

Not to burst your bubble but the Americans (Audeze) have the Germans beat on this one
