I replaced it on my R3 Pro some years ago. Here's the link:Does anyone know where I can source a replacement battery for the R3 Sabre? Just in time for the new one and my battery has swollen up and died. I'll probably get the new R3, but I'd like to save my old one and give it to my daughter.

I have Hiby R2 Gen 2 and I'm enjoying it so far, I wonder if this Hiby R3 Gen 2 will be a BIG upgrade over R2 II in terms of sound quality? What's the advantage of Dual ESS chip?
Pulled the rigger on R3 mk2

I doubt it. The R3 II will still be LINUX based and not Android. So no chance to use Android Apps.I wonder if Tidal MAX works on R3 II? does it get the app from Play Store?

I went ahead and pre-ordered one based on my experience with my R3 Pro (Cirrus). I'm not convinced that it's much of an upgrade though, other than the 4.4 mm port. I also noticed that it no longer appears to have 5 GHz wifi. Maybe we will get some further information soon. I do hope that they fix the "log in every single day on another device" Tidal interface, what a pain that is...

Hiby got back to me, HibyOS. can not download Tidal for offline playback. I'm sure it will be a very nice player, even has MSEB.
I was looking for a very lightweight DAP for my pack, still considering.

Was just checking the spec and it's a downgrade from r2 II in terms of SE output power, quite significant actually. Audio companies make absolutely no sense with their products.
Yes, nominal power is down from 90mW to 70mW
On the other hand, 70mW of the iFi Go Link is plenty enough for most (if not all) headphones / IEMs typically used on the move

I guess previous ourput power of 80mW was not nominal, but was this transient max power output which is now 112mW, so it should be rated higher SE than R3 Saber and R2 II. But it is only Hiby who can confirm or deny it.
Also I don't think you would ever reach neither of those values for IEMs usage anyway - both on the go and at home

That is more or less what I said in my post.

Power might be enough but my point was that you get less for more and that's not ok.
Not necessarily, if you look at the big picture. There are many parameters to consider - form factor, materials used, GUI, functionality, battery, etc.
We all have different priorities and expectations. To me, for example, SE output power is not even in the top 5.

Hi. Some questions about the HiBy R3 II;
- Does it have true gapless playback across all audio formats?
- Does it have Replay Gain/Smart Gain (or equivalent) with ability to set by album?
- Can it Scrobble to Last fm either over Wi-Fi or via PC (i.e. using QTScrobbler)
- Can music be synced from a PC with with iTunes, MediaMonkey (or equivalent)
- Is it able to import/play playlists created on PC
- Can the volume "knob" be locked so it won't change the volume if it's knocked whilst jogging etc.?
- What is the maximum number of tracks that can be in a playlist?
- What is the maximum number of playlists that can be saved on the device?
- What is the maximum SD memory card capacity?
- What is the maximum total number of tracks it can store?
