Have seen reports about broken hinges with some time of use. Is it common problem for this particular model?
Does fake ES700 exist just like ES7?

I lent my pair to a friend and the "stopper" broke off so they spin freely...

I think it is. There is a lot of plastic used in the hinges and this has a tendancy to crack. Mine cracked a while ago and since they are no longer on warranty, it pretty much prevents me from using them anymore.
