The wooden cans I tried has been way to big to look good too. markl D5000/DX 1000. They have nice touches but several sizes to big. Not that it matters for a dime how headphones look.

Wood cans are supposed to be "fun" cans, not reference. That would be why it colors the sound.

yeah, x2 on wood... I don't really like them overstated like those ugly headphiles... ESW9 and EW9 is good, D5000 and ATHs also but that's about it

Very much, agreed.

I also like the K701s and the Grado look.

It's almost impossible for me to pick any one headphone as being the best looking because I associate each headphone with its sound, not its appearance (and looks are always deceiving!). Overall, my comment is that most all of the headphones on this forum look really good! Appearance, after all, is part of what sells products (except for Grados).

On a serious not.I think these Phiatons look elegant. And they are supposed to sound as good as they look. They are made with a carbon fiber enclosure. And the pricey wood cans. Most of them just have a natural beauty and of course are great for sound.

The Grado HF-2 (Head-Fi headphones) is quite nice. A real shame there is only 24 of them..

25, counting Jude's #00, no? I actually prefer the look of the Head-f1, and think it's one better than the original release.
