What I should understand from it?

you wanted comparison between JVC fx850 and ie800, that's why I posted the link.

I have both, while I like and dislike both of them for different reasons. 850 has nice timber and sound stage which I like, but bass will become very heavy on certain tracks.

over all tone from ie800 is better than fx850, controlled bass, mids and more 3D compared to 850. But even after 5 years I still struggle with fit, none of the stock tips works for me and hard to find alternates, if fit works you will probably like ie800 more than fx850.

I like 850 bass!
I tried 846 for a while and are a little superior. Not too much. But so uncomfortable to wear and take off..
And do you have another model that is superior to both in all the aspects?

FX850 and IE800 don't have a similar sound signature, I have both so I can say that for sure.

I own it. Super bassy. Mid bass bloat. Totally ruins what are excellent highs with amazing "wood dome" timbre, but they suffer from the same "too much bass" as many of the FW and FX series do.

Exactly. How could JVC Victor ever DO this to us? Give us such aboundingly satisfying timbre, only to stuff it all up with appalling amounts of bassbleed?

My cables keep shorting out when keeping my FX850 in the case. Does anyone have any tips to avoid this? I try to place it in a way that isn't stressing the cable, but it always starts having issues eventually.

I'm also in the market for a cable. Is there a consensus on material or which cable is best for the FX850?
