That's the one; I bought it after a long session of measuring and digging through specs.  The SZ cups are too wide for most semi-rigid cases; I took a chance on this one as it was very close and only $6.  Here it is with the lid just resting closed:

There's no room to spare, but as long as the cable is routed away from the widest part of the cans the case zips shut easily.

Thanks Hawaiibadboy. Found a pretty snug case today for my new cans:

Khanka brand, $6 on Amazon.

I don't think they'll fit my Sennheisers, but I'll check my T1s for size too.

Thanks a lot for the details and confirmation. It's double the price in Germany but still the most space-saving case for travelling then, so I will order. In case one needs a bit more space for cables and adapters there is another one a bit bigger (German link):

I will order that one too.

Which Senns do you have? The SZ's (which I have two of) are the only headphones I have that knock into each other if I put them on opposite ends of my headphone stand. So i'm gonna grab one of these cases if they fit the SZ.

HD-650 & HD-800S.  I can't see either fitting as their cups are longer and wider than the cups on the T1.

I second the iDSD micro, all in one solution.

for eqing spotify, there is equalify for pc and spoteq for ios (iphone).   iDSD can hook up to your iphone too.
Just got the sz1000. I want to maximize bass.

What pads?

What amp? Do I need DAC? (Listening from MacBook mostly spotify)

What equalizer (and does it work for Spotify/music apps on laptop)?

Thanks

Pads from JVC 55x or 77x (same ones) and for amp maybe iDSD micro or iCAN. Not sure about spotify EQ?

Thanks for the responses guys. I was about to get the Fiio e12, what are the advantages to the idsd?

Edit: just saw the price. I want something in the 100-150 range
