I dont know much about the geek out, but I'm thinking it has a dac only section, so probably what hes using with the c5

The Geek Out has both but it also has a high resistance output which is perfect for a DAC. It's got a 0.47 and 47 ohm outputs.

Well X-Bass definitely adds more bass.
Might be a bit too much with the SZ200

Think X-Bass is better for giving cans with no punch....some punch. The Sz are gain and eq monsters. They don't need much gain from an ifi.

What about Audeze LCD-3 ? With proper amp those can go down into infrasonic, maintaining the sound at ear splitting volume undistorted.

Not in the top 10, and II believe HBB has tested them but not 100% certain.

Test have been done with them.  They are NOT hard hitters so they do not belong to this thread.
