Short impression from me is, the EST provides a clear, easy to listen to sound with solid technicalities well tuned for just having 2 drivers, imho quite neutral sounding but leaning towards musical than analytical, bass might not be satisfying enough for some genres due to having very light subbass.
I cannot say about the Sony M9 but I think if you loved the MH334SR, you should give the MH335ht a listen. What attracted me to the MH334SR was the treble extension and separation. You will find the same in the 335ht. Plus I did like the fact that the bass was precise and had great quality.
So, after a week post demo, I have put in my order for the MH335ht. And the waiting begins. I am myself surprised that after going through the BA based customs, and then moving on to the short stemmed primarily DD based FitEars, I find myself back where it all began for me, the BA based range.
I went for it because I agree with Suyama san: although the driver configuration is exactly the same as the MH335DW and the MH335DWSR, the sound signature of the MH335ht is so very different. What I cannot run away from is the pristine treble extension from the ht. And not only is it so pure and pristine (that it harks back to the C435) but it is also so effortless. The bass so much more controlled and focused in the ht.
This makes the MH335ht so different sounding from the DW and DWSR even though they share the same family roots. I actually had gone back and listened to the MH335DW and the MH335DWSR. Yeah... it only reaffirmed my initial impression that I was listening to something so different it made sense to get it.
So, the waiting begins. I have a Van Nuys 4x3 case. There is just one empty slot left after the DC Ti had come in. Now it will be completely filled. The story of my journey with FitEar which began with the C435... After this, time to get a bigger case for my FitEars as I await the release of the EST Ti.
Big shout out to Wilson of Jaben Singapore for letting me be the first to have a demo of the MH335ht and the H1. Wilson was the man who introduced me to Suyama san and his musical creations all those years ago and who has been there alongside me throughout this journey. For that, I am grateful.
I just got my air 2 today after 3 months waiting! very similar to titan's lovely sound signature and the same perfect and comfortable fit. really great iems from fitear

i demoed 335ht for a short while after picking up my air2. the sound deviates a lot from the titan family (or 334/335) - sounds quite pristine as @Kiats said but surprisingly it costs much less than the 335sr. i'm not sure if i should order one . . .

Congrats on the Air2! Yes it is lovely. Sometimes when I find the trebles of the Titan a bit tiring, the Air2 is a more relaxed yet organic listen for me. Yeah… such excellent fit for the aptly named FitEar.
Not surprising the MH335ht sounds very different from the DD based FitEars. Which is why we were all taken aback when Suyama san embarked on his short stemmed DD based customs.
As for the traditional BA based MH series, agree. I think this new construction with the MH335ht does bring a very different sound signature. The FitEar DNA is definitely still there. But there seems to be this liberation of the trebles. I am not sure how others will feel about it. I will confess that it took me a day or so for its charms to speak to me. Hence, my order.
i just noticed that there's a notch on the tips of air2 (on both left and right hand sides). it's quite strange and not found on my other fitear iems (titanium CM or universal). anyone has idea is this normal for fitear's acrylic shell ciem?
