There are still people who care about headfonia articles? That place is for cool photos only. They are extremely '' not objective ''.

To each his opinion. However, this is an X3 thread an not a "let's bash everything that's not Head-fi even if I don't have any good arguments" thread. I hate these kinds of useless remarks. Sorry AmberzOzl, no offence, nothing personal
Let's keep it X3 related, right?

Well I am in love with X3 and features it provides from that price, it is just headfonia is getting on my nerves, I was a big supporter of them at the beginning then things changed a bit. Anyway you guys are right, that is not the place to discuss this. Sorry for interrupting.

It's all good, no worries:wink:
I have an X3 in my hand right now, and I can't really disagree with what's in that review btw.

About the X3, it does get rather hot when in use. That wasn't mentioned in that review, it's not that it gets too hot to handle but I never had a portable player that heated up so much.

I'd say that is a fairly positive review.

it gets hot? thats certainly a concern.. this device should not get hot. It's a dap. Not a full blown computer.

The review doesn't sound that different from all the other impressions in this thread.
Is it really as biased as people are suggesting here?

Getting warm is because of the amp power I guess, the more powerful the amp, warmer it gets I think. I am not sure though, don't count on me. Maybe best is asking to James.

yes, it is because the amp power. and it will not so hot if you use the line out or digital out of X3. also it depend on the impedance of the headphones and the volume too.

anyway, it will be more easy to share it like " it is hotter than an Galaxy S3 when playing XXX " , and it will not hotter than most dual core Android phone if you can trusted me and not to talk compare with

some other DAP which have even bigger power output and a desktop DAC inside.

If you ask me I am okay with that but apparently some others not.

Want a device which doesn't get warmer? Get something like fruit device, doesn't do any good doesn't get warm either.
