I've had them since they first landed after shipping out as a "mystery set", and I'm still experimenting with switch position.
There are now a TON of great sets under $100 but I would be remiss to not mention the Aful MagicOne right around $140 (but can be found on sale closer to $100). I think below $150 and above $500 might be a better target.Speaking of budget-fi, I jumped into IEMs at the $200 level (Orchestra Lite) then promptly leapt straight to the $600 level (Symphonium Meteor). After spending the past week "window shopping" for another solid set in the $200 range, I came to a realization that most of you probably came to long ago: the winners are all under $100 or over $500, but not many are in-between. I'm now rethinking, well, everything. Maybe it's time to hop on the ultra-budget merry-go-round!
You sure not the other way round? UUDD - thought first 2 are bass switches.dduu for me, love my bass.
the trio is stupid good. i took a break from them for a week and I am still wowed. i don't even care about kilobuck anymore.
The MagicOne is on my radar, along with the Kiwi Ears Quintet. Both of them simply because they're engineering marvels. No idea if I'll like listening to either one. I mean, with so many competent IEMs on the market, it seems like uniqueness matters more than simply "sounding good," anyway. "Sounding good" almost seems like the baseline. It's wild. There are now a TON of great sets under $100 but I would be remiss to not mention the Aful MagicOne right around $140 (but can be found on sale closer to $100). Quintet and MagicOne are pretty different but both great in their own rights. The Quintet didn't resonate with me personally due to the treble emphasis but I still think it's a great set.The MagicOne is on my radar, along with the Kiwi Ears Quintet. Yeah, I'm not chasing after any particular tuning. I've had enough "neutral" headphones over the years. I try to keep my collection usefully and interestingly diverse. I like looking for unusual IEMs that sound good, but in unexpected ways.Quintet and MagicOne are pretty different but both great in their own rights. Start with the Trio, and then work your way up or down?Speaking of budget-fi, I jumped into IEMs at the $200 level (Orchestra Lite) then promptly leapt straight to the $600 level (Symphonium Meteor).
