Been sitting the past hours trying to wrap my head around the KZ ZS10 Pro 2, the sound is a little fatuiging for me and not very enjoyable. Have a metallic timbre, very similar to some previous KZ hybrids models. I assume this is bad BA drivers being used, as this dont happen on the DD models and not on the Symphony that had DD and Planar driver.
When looking at measurement the Symphony should be more fatuiging, but even with the peaks on 2.5k and 9K Hz the Symphony sound more forgiving.

I don't deny the ZS10 Pro 2 having better tuning, also the DD seem to have tighter and better controlled bass. But I just cant get past the sharper metallic sound to enjoy the music.

My listening been done using the white crane SPC cable and Divinus Velvet tips, running off both desktop gear and the HIBY R8 II.

Hey Discovery, happy weekend!

I finally got around to writing up my Vortex Seraphina thoughts. I liked this cable so much I did a whole review! It was a lovely addition to my chain even though I bought for an IEM I have yet to receive!

Would mean a lot to me if you check it out. If you are hesitant to jump in to pricier cables from the budget section, I feel like this may be a worthwhile review. It's why I wrote it, and should be considered when reading it!

Thank you!

I'm definitely re-interested in the MagicOne - they'll be first on my 11/11 sales shortlist for sure !!
Btw regarding: "the fun never stops".....whilst in my garden sunbathing today & listening to new LP's via the Delci/Hiby R6 Pro combo - finally worked out why the DAP is constantly running warm, it appears that it's native playback frequency is 192KHz. I'd assumed that all FLAC & Hi-Res files played accordingly. Totally sorted it out by switching on the Fixed SampleRate plug-in & choosing values between 48-96 KHz - it runs way cooler now (in sunshine) & obvs conserves the lifespan of components & battery....bonus !!
There is a another 1 BA from Katori Audio soon just a FYI peeps and it's a stunner!

Ok, Hydro has landed. It's pretty dumb. Like I really dig it. I'll be reviewing it in a few days. But it might be one of the best value iems I've ever heard. If you are on the fence, you have my blessing. I'll be reviewing it in about a week or so. Pilgrim video should be up in an hour or so.
Looking forward to the review to see which switch configuration you ended up favoring. I'm still loving on the Hydro, been trying to not hype it up too much till I have a week or so on it but *chefs kiss*.

“Kilobuck, beware” IEM to me, especially since I consider the only reason to go kilobuck is build quality, packaging, brand, and that sweet sweet technical performance.

I actually didn’t realize that the R3 Pro Saber can do digital out, pretty nice feature to have on a player that does gapless.

My friend pair this with Mojo2 and put everything in a neat 3d printed case. Kickass non-Android DAP in that combination, IMHO.

you have my blessing
Blessing 2 or 3? :)

I have always felt the divinus tips have a sight peak around the 2 to 2.5k region so with KZ i mostly use spiral dots and they work wonders in cutting out that glare. Also if you could try a copper cable and share your impressions please.
