Been spending a few hours with the xuan nv and all i'll say is that if you're a fan of HBB's sound signature, a treble sensitive, want a soothing warm neutral set with great timbre and also want 6 pairs of Sancai tips, this thing is probably made for you LOL
here's my graph of the xuan nv. full impressions to come soon!
Yep a real pain I dislike the fragile 2.5mm and only own 1 cable with it, in draw somewhere. I'm 4.4mm across most my cables with the odd 3.3mm thrown in.
...and USB-B, and mini-USB, and Apple's Lightning connector, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something. As long as a large number of people still have working devices with 2.5mm, there will continue to be new cables and connectors offering it. And as long as there are new cables with it, there's always the possibility that some company will produce a product with a 2.5mm output. And on it goes.

My daily carry consists of: a phone, a BT wireless DAC, Smart Watch and an IEM, (and up until the FiiO BTR7) with an accompanying, 2.5mm cable. Considering what the cost is, I give all of my equipment the care, that they warrant.
For the 4 or 5 years that I've been entrenched in the hobby, all of my cables have been 2.5mm; which continues (with an adapter for the FiiO BTR7), so that I can switch BT DACs. Never had an issue, with any of the cable terminations, except the MMCX end.

Man i heard the Xuan NV at the recent Canjam SG. It was really good sounding, way too relaxed for my personal taste, but overall a rich tone, and good bass was present on the set. I am actually waiting for their new prototype to come out, it was super good to my ears.

Agreed! These are not for critical listening, instead for long listening sessions and it's an amazing IEM for that. I can't wait for their prototype either, I heard so many good things about it!
